As a health promoting school, Newick CE Primary School is committed to encouraging and developing attitudes towards food and a healthy diet. As a school we know that food is fundamental to the quality of a child’s life, not just in providing essential nutrition but in communicating and sharing positive values, attitudes and experiences and each other.
We are proud to announce that in February 2022 we achieved our Healthy School Status.
Every other Thursday Miss Kinderman runs a cookery club where the children create a main dish and a dessert. The children lay the able and we all eat together. It is a really lovely opportunity to share healthy food together as a group.
